My personal favorite of the bunch were these jean shorts! They checked all the boxes and were an affordable price around $35. I loved the longer inseam of these plus the high quality fabric and look. They have a designer look to them without the designer price tag. I also bought these in white because I loved them so much!
Pros:
- Great 4 inch inseam and bum coverage
- Stretchy fabric
- Runs true to size
- Love the raw hem
- Good back pocket size
Cons:
- Priciest of the bunch at around $35
2. Ripped Mid Rise Folded Hem Denim Shorts

Coming in a close second were these jean shorts. They were the most comfortable of the ones I tried on. They had plenty of room in the thighs and make the perfect comfy short. The do run big so I recommend sizing down. The length was perfect and the cuffs were sewn on the sides and in the middle so they do not unroll after washing!
Pros:
- Stretchy fabric
- Loose fit
- Cuffs are sewn on sides and middle
- High waist
- Good pocket size
Cons:
- Run big – I suggest sizing down if you are in between

I love Levi’s jeans so I was excited to try their shorts. These were another favorite but they run small and shorter than the Daily Ritual ones. They are excellent quality and I love the dark wash and raw hem. I need to size up in these but overall I loved them.
Pros:
- High quality fabric
- Stretchy
- Love the raw hem
- High rise
Cons:
- Run small- I suggest sizing up
- Shorter inseam at about 2.5-3 inches
- Pricier than the others

These jean shorts would have been a top contender for me if it weren’t for the smaller back pockets, they didn’t flatter my buns at all. They are super comfortable and stretchy. The shorts also have a great length to them so my buns weren’t hanging out the back. Overall a good solid choice for the cost.

- Great inseam length at about 4 inches
- Very comfortable
Cons:
- Pockets are small on the bum
5. Cut Off Mid Rise Jean Shorts

The cut off jean shorts were my least favorite pair of the ones I tried. Many of you have said that these are your favorite Amazon shorts but they were a tad too short for me. I felt like my buns were hanging out even though they weren’t. The slits on the side showed a little

- Affordable price for under $25
- Stretchy fabric
- Good amount of distressing
- Lots of thigh room
- Run true to size
- High Rise
Cons:
- Shorter inseam at about 2-3 inches
- Slits on the sides show a little more leg (could be a pro too!)
